ABOUT US

Casper's Home Trust is an Animal welfare organization in Agra, committed towards serving animals and connecting with all like minded activists and ngos to network for the same. We are running a shelter for ailing street dogs, housing more than 74 of them at the shelter, made on privately owned land in an area of 250 sq yards, and also running an animal helpline, to attend complaints for all animals in distress.

Caspers Home Trust has also conducted successful Anti Rabies Vaccine (ARV) drives, for street dogs in different localities of Agra. Plus we carry out sterilization for the same, along with awareness sessions in various schools, on how to coexist with animals, for adoption of desi dogs, and the brutal face of the breeding industry.

Casper's Home Trust saved almost 1000 animals, consisting of dogs, cows, monkeys, bulls, horses, in 2019, which includes on-the-spot treatment, ARV issues, re-homing, cruelty cases, etc. We have got more than 400 dogs sterilized, and more than 85 dogs adopted in 5 years time, and hold a proud record of treating and rescuing more than 5000 animals. With your support, we will continue to achieve more, and accommodate more needy dogs and serve distressed animals, always.

Caspers Home Trust was nominated for the Best Street Care Award at Clarks Awards at FIAPO conference,Hyderabad.

We are an 80g certified organisation.

OUR STORY

Casper’s home is a private shelter home. However, when our baby, our pet, Casper was mowed down by a roadways bus, right in front of our eyes, we were left with bitter experiences during our battle of justice for Casper. That's when the idea of running a shelter for the needy dogs started taking shape and soon, numbers started overflowing at our shelter. People trusted us and we too were emotionally attached with all our rescued babies. Due to lack of support and funds, we had to get a trust registered and soon, our struggle for more land began. However, on seeing our marathon of efforts and accomplishment, finally the Agra Nagar Nigam allotted 900 sq yards land to our NGO, behind the Nagar Nigam Kanha Gaushala on a lease of 30 years. We are now in the process of constructing our new shelter home/ABC unit at Naraich, Tedi Bagiya.

OUR VISION

Striving for creating a compassionate world by raising mass awareness, raising a compassionate future generation and removing the discrimination against our native Indian breeds and creating a truly independent India.

OUR MISSION

  • The mission of Caper's Home is not just animal birth control, rescue & release, but also the rehabilitation of needy, blind, disabled, paralysed dogs, abandoned pets & also those whose life is under constant threat in some unfriendly areas.
  • In, the future we also aim to rehabilitate some abused donkeys in our new shelter home at Naraich, on the land allotted by Nagar Nigam Agra.

OUR STRATEGIES

We do not believe in running 9 to 5 helplines, because you cannot look at the clock, if you have to save a precious life. For this even if our own field paravet is unavailable, we pay another freelance paravet to get the treatment done. Our volunteers too help us in rescues,house-checks,transportation and first-aid. We are committed towards sending help for animals and animal lovers in every corner of our city.
